About a month ago I started to loose some motivation in all areas of life. You know when you slip in to that mood where you put in just enough effort to get by? My room was getting cluttered, my car looked like I lived out of it, I was kind of zombieish at work…I was not proud of my performance. Then I read Ephesians 6:7
“And work with a smile on your face, always keeping in mind that no matter who happens to be giving the orders, you’re really serving God.”
Ahh. That was very convicting
I don’t want to serve God half heartedly. I made an effort from that point on to do everything as if I was serving the Lord. Guess what?! He gave me the extra energy and focus I needed to give my best. Everything started to fall in to place because I remembered who I am really working for…and he is the most patient, kind, loving, and forgiving boss!
When I finally remembered who I am really working for and working with, my motivation and inspiration came rushing back in to my life and God gave me a renewed positive attitude.
Since then I have had another fundraiser car wash that again was successful and I have reached my September goal of $3500!! Yay!!! I’m just so thankful that sometimes all it takes is a little change of perspective (looking up) and everything falls back in to place!
