Just because a door is closed doesn’t mean it will be closed forever. This is hard for a lot of us to believe. Sure, I am defiantly a victim of disbelief that God would open new doors for me, especially three years ago on this day. But, as always God’s will never fails.

Today, March 10, 2017, is my three year anniversary of my skiing accident. During this accident I sustained a traumatic brain injury (TBI) and multiple other life threating injuries. During this time I was at the lowest point of my life and wondered why God would ever let this happen to me. Which at the time many doors closed for me, but even more opened. Little did I know He had some extraordinary plans for me, including the world race.

This situation opened my heart to Jesus and I will never forget this experience. Even though this was a scary reality for me and my family, I am thankful for this struggle. Also I am so blessed to of had and still have an amazing support system including my family and friends during my recovery. I have come a long ways.

No, I am not crazy for thinking that the scariest thing in my life is a gift because I believe it was an act towards God’s will. I know that God’s will wasn’t for me to get in this accident, but rather changing my priorities of my life.

       It worked.

Thanks for sticking through my second blog post. If you could continue keeping me, my fundraising, my team, and the people we will meet on our travels in your prayers I would be so thankful.
