After talking with a fellow squad-mate and close friend of mine about her constant need to get wifi when we get together during debriefs I feel I owe an apology and a thank you to my friends/family and supporters.
This race isn’t about me. It’s about how God uses his children to further his kingdom in various ways.
Yes, I am the one traveling around the world sharing the gospel and serving my time but if it weren’t for my friends, family and supporters I wouldn’t be where I am. God ultimately places the desire to support in the hearts of those who do, but I would like to acknowledge those who listened/continue to listen to that calling.
I thought when I became fully funded that writing blogs and keeping up with people wasn’t AS important. I hoped I expressed my deepest gratitude and that the “transaction” was complete. After the conversation with my friend I realized I was wrong. She is continuously writing blogs and keeping up with her supporters because she loves them and wants to keep them updated the best she can because she continues to be grateful and has the desire to continue to show her gratitude.
– I just want to take a minute right now to again thank each and every one of you reading this blog for just taking the time to see where I am on my race and for caring enough to take the time out of your day.
– I want to thank my friends for allowing me to be out on the field; thousands of miles away without any pressure to keep in touch. I am SOO thankful for people in my life who whether I see them every day or not for 11 months they still love and care about me just the same.
– I want to thank my family for praying for me daily, for continuing to encourage me as often as possible. I know how much you all love me and whenever I think of you all it brings so much joy and comfort to my heart.
I want to thank my supporters for believing in me and my calling that God gave me to travel the world and speak of Jesus.
You are all amazing!
I would love to hear from you! I know I haven’t been the best at writing blogs and updating people on what God is doing in my life or out here on the field and I don’t want to make any promises to do weekly blogs but if you would like to know anything specific or just to say HI I would love to hear from you.
If I do get an email from you I will respond J So hit the contact button on the left hand column and drop me a message if you like!!
So I apologize to those I haven’t kept in good touch with so far and I thank you all for everything you have done for me.
HEADING INTO MONTH 9 in the PHILIPPINES!!
God bless,
Katelyn
