We spent a month in the village out in the Kampot province teaching English and ministering to the village people. We lived alongside out contact Vuthy, some of his family, his young teaching staff, and a few boys that he had taken in. It was an incredible month!! God taught me a lot about just diving in head first. The first week an a half I spent “settling in” and before I knew it the month was over and we were saying goodbye. In the midst of those last two weeks I fell in love with our life their, the people, and the ministry. I finally dove in. I spent more time with the kids and with my team and I felt myself looking back wishing I would have done so earlier. A reminder to myself to just dive in….

Also, God taught me about the simplicity of LOVE. If any of you follow me on Instagram or are facebook friends with me you most likely have seen my “word every month”. I choose a word at the end of the month that describes my month. This month my words was LOVE. Living in and learning more about Cambodia it is easy to see the country is craving love and still healing from a lot of hurt from its’ history. Cambodia experienced a tragic and devastating period in its’ history leaving a void.
I have yet to meet a Cambodian that I didn’t like. They are friendly, sweet, and caring. The people I met this month have shown me how to give love without any expectations. Love does not have to be difficult or complicated it can simply be wonderful and life-giving.

My team is getting the opportunity to spend another month here in this amazing country, but this month we are going to be in Phnom Penh teaching English to University Students from poor rural provinces. But before sharing any more about this upcoming month I am going to share with you the testimony of Vuthy our ministry contact from last month. All I am going to say is he is an amazing man of God. Take a look..

I will have a recap video coming soon….

ALL FOR HIS GLORY!
