Wow! It’s already been 3 weeks since I arrived in Cambodia. We just completed training camp for the new squad who will be on this God seeking adventure for the next 11 months. I am so honoured to be here, having this opportunity to meet them, serve them, learn from them and just become friends with them all! They are such an incredible group of people that my heart leaps for excitement when I think of all that is going to take place in the next 6 months while I am with them!

This is my new amazing squad!

And this is the incredible leadership team I get to serve alongside. What a privilege!
The majority of the first 2 weeks were spent hearing incredible teachings by different leaders, while in amongst that we were still able to be out in the city of Phnom Penh meeting new and incredible people!
One night, after training, a couple squad mates and I got in a tuk tuk to head back to our hostel for the night. Our tuk tuk driver happened to be an amazing man of God called Vibol. Shortly after greeting us, Vibol asked if we were Christian, to which we responded ‘Yes!’ This resulted in an immediate friendship. Vibol continued to tell us his testimony and about life in Cambodia. After getting to know Vibol a little, we were honoured to have him and his son come and speak to our squad about christianity in Cambodia and what the Lord has been doing in this country since the genocide.

This was taken the night we met Vibol.
Vibol exudes the reality of ‘Life is ministry and ministry is life’. The reality that one doesn’t need to ‘go on mission’ to another country in order to tell people about Christ or to show them Jesus. Vibol’s job is being a tuk tuk driver and yet everyday he listens to the Lord and uses his job as a platform to reach his passengers by asking them if they know Jesus. Vibol has so many amazing stories as a result of taking advantage of the opportunity to tell people about the truth of Jesus and having those people filled with an immense amount of joy, as a result of now knowing Christ.

This is a photo Vibol sent me of a lady he was able to talk to about Jesus, and he said that she was so happy that someone had!
My challenge to you, is how are you using the platform that you have been given? Do you view your job as an opportunity to display Christ? I would encourage you to ask God how best He can use you in your current position – I guarantee it’ll make your job a whole lot more exciting working for the Kingdom!
My friend Vibol is currently struggling financially as he wants to continue to pursue what the Lord is calling him to do, however only running a tuktuk service does not quite supply enough for his wife and two children and all the passions the Lord has put within his heart to pursue. If any of you have a stiring in your heart to help and support my friend please would you contact me and I can get you in touch with him or provide details in how to support. Prayer is also very much appreciated! Thank you!
