“What if some were unfaithful? Does their faithlessness nullify the faithfulness of God? By no means!” – Romans 3:3

I have been praying a lot for God to show me who will be faithful to me. However, this week I realized that people themselves are not faithful, they simply reflect God’s faithfulness. I can trust the godly people, specifically the godly men, in my life because their  faithfulness is not based in their human ability to perform, but on the fact that they reflect God’s faithfulness. They reflect him, not because they strive to, but because they surrender themselves and their performance to God. I don’t need to ask if they are faithful, because God is faithful through them. I don’t doubt God’s promises, so I don’t need to doubt his promise of faithfulness. When I wish for another’s faithfulness, or regret a lack thereof, I place my faith in God’s faithfulness. His faithfulness is the only one that can fulfill me.

I don’t make my own plan with the people in my life. God has a plan set in place that is far greater than I could ever imagine. I don’t follow my own desires for my life, because God is faithful to make my life better than I ever could. I surrender my life to him, because I have seen the awesome ways he has moved in my life. He has never left my side. He is faithful when I am and when I am not. He is faithful in the highs and lows. Faithful he has been and faithful he will be.

love,
