Each morning I continue to rise before the sun with my tea, bible, and journal. It’s my quiet time with the Lord. I always walk away from those moments feeling as though I just poured my heart out to my Father. I want to share a glimpse into the emotions I feel during this time. I want to share a little bit of my intimate moments with you because there is reassurance in knowing you’re not the only one who yearns for our Father’s love.
Father,
You know the deepest desires of my heart. You know the love I have for you. I want to simply run into your arms and be consoled in the love of you. To have a protective and merciful Father restores any brokenness I still carry. You are my safe place, you are my light, you are my love, you are the Father I have always longed for. You knit me together in my mother’s womb, you held my hand as I clumsily waddled as a toddler, you held me as I struggled as a teenager, and you keep your arm around me as I journey closer to you each day. You are clothed in righteousness and justice. I want to know you even more.

To think you formed every detail of me, from the way my fingers form, to the freckles on my cheeks, to the color of my hair, to the sound of my voice. You created me. You took the time to perfect every detail of my being, all because you love me. I have never felt so worthy for I am a child of God. I am a daughter of the most high King for all my days. I pray that when the seasons come where I lose my strength and lose the love for the skin I live in that you would continue to remind me that you have crafted me with purpose and love. You are so beautiful in every way, and your love for us runs deep. Keep my heart aligned with yours, keep my mind open to your thoughts. Allow me to walk in purity and light for your plans for me are so good. Thank you for another day filled with your love.
And in the quiet pride of my Father’s eyes
I remember who I am
And when I feel the warmth of my Father’s smile
Feels like I’ve been born again
May we glorify Him for all our days!
