“May the God of hope fill you with all joy and peace as you trust in him, so that you may overflow with hope by the power of the Holy Spirit.?” Romans 15:13
As you may remember, last November I announced that I was planning to take a year off through the World Race Gap Year program. Throughout the Fall, I applied to colleges with the intent of deferring until I got back from the mission field. But, as acceptances came back, I felt the Lord guiding me in a different direction. My college application process has been exciting and God has opened scholarship and athletic opportunities that I did not anticipate or envision. After months of prayer and consideration, I will officially be attending Berry College, located in Rome GA, this Fall to major in Elementary Education, play Division Three lacrosse, and be apart of the Winshape College Program. (Chick-Fil-A’s Christian discipleship program).
While I can’t return the donations due to World Race policies, I’m transitioning all funds raised to a summer mission trip through the same organization. I’ve raised $6,000 which will cover the entire cost of my summer trip.
This change may seem surprising to many, but I truly believe that the Lord is leading me into a new season of growth and trust. I am so thankful for your generous support towards my ministry both financially and through prayer. This year has pushed me to lean in and listen to what God has for me. It’s taught me about obedience and how our goals and wants may not be what God has in store. I’m excited to see how God continues through me this next year at college!
Please feel free to contact me if you have questions about this change. I’m happy to talk and answer questions about my decision and some of the lessons I’ve learned. As I step into this new phase of life, I kindly ask you to keep me in your prayers.
Many Blessings,
