I’ve been in Craiova, Romania for two weeks now and it already feels like home. Ministry is in full swing and God is doing big things.
My ministry for the first three months is evangelism. I spend hours a day creating relationships with locals, sharing my testimony and the goodness of God. This is something I’ve learned to love. At first I was afraid of walking up to people and being rejected, but I’ve come to realize I am blessed to know the love of Jesus and the people of Craiova are hungry for what He provides.
Many of the people I have met are broken and angry at God. Many are overlooked and have never felt true love. Many feel they have to do everything perfect to earn God’s love.
Stepping out of my comfort zone and walking up to a group of people is hard, but I am constantly reminded God is with me every step of the way. I’m willing to sacrifice my comfort to share the love and grace Jesus has shown me.
God’s Word is a seed that we are planting here everyday. Our God is not a 9-5 God, He is constant and uses us every hour of every day to share His truth. Whether we end up seeing the fruit of the seeds we have planted or not, God will do His thing in His perfect timing. We are not entitled to see the fruit, but simply called to plant seeds.
I cannot wait to share how God continues to use us and the big things He is doing here in Craiova.
