I’m currently on my last flight coming back from training camp. Anyways, I was supposed to be back in Fargo 12 hours ago, but here I am, sitting on a plane to go visit my brother, Isaac in Los Angeles instead.

My flight from Atlanta to Dallas was delayed eight hours, causing me to miss my flight home, but I wasn’t too upset. In fact I was pretty excited, it allowed me to spend extra time with a few of my squad mates and other World Racers and prolong our goodbyes. We shared our testimonies with each other and talked about the faithfulness of our Lord. A racer we met at the airport invited my squad mate, Caden and I to stay at her house until we could get a connecting flight out of Dallas. After 11 days of sleeping in tents and taking bucket showers, this was such a blessing. (Thank you Kendel!!)

We struck up conversation with strangers and heard how God is working in their lives. We shared what the World Race was and why we are putting our lives on hold for nine months to share the Gospel. What an incredible sense of the Kingdom.

After Caden boarded his plane, I decided I was going to listen to music and try to take a nap while I waited for my flight, but I couldn’t sleep. I was sitting by my gate when I saw a group of excited teenagers getting off their plane. The Holy Spirit told me to go talk to them and I was like “okay God, but what do you want me to say to them??” He kept nudging me and by the time I had the courage to go talk to them, they were heading to their gate for their next flight. I had lost sight of them so I decided to go look for them. Ten minutes later, I felt called to head over to the D terminal, so I did. But they were no where to be seen. I sat at gate 37D reading my Bible and asking God “well, now what?” He told me to “stay and be patient”. Soon after, I saw them. I got up and walked over to a group of girls and found out they were headed to Belize for a mission trip with their youth group. I had the opportunity to pray for them and the people they are going to encounter this next week. I sat with them until they boarded their plane talking about missions and the big things God does.

God has a way of putting us right where He needs us. God is moving. So here’s to missed flights, delays and the perfect timing of God.
