Aruaha National Park is “Tanzania’s Best Kept Secret!”
WHAT!! REALLY!!! NO WAY!!
After the whispers and rumors died down…it dawned on a few of us that we could not pass up such an opportunity!
So we made it our mission to discover the “Secret” of Tanzania.
….And off we traveled into the African dessert.
We happened upon …..ZEBRAS!!!
WILD ELEPHANTS!!!!
…AND LONG NECKED GIRAFFES!!!!
OH MY!!!!!
But are mission was not complete until we met the KING OF THE PRIDE LANDS!
And then we found them….
when they least expected us!
11 Lions …. 10 feet away!
Glaring and licking their lips, they never took their gaze off of us
as we snapped our cameras and captured our Kodak moments. .
But in the end,
all were happy!
WARNING!
We were not attacked by the ferocious hippos, or the deadly crocodiles, the lions laid still, and the warthogs ran away, the giraffes were graceful, and the elephants were preocupied, the leopard was a scardy-cat, and the cheetahs were no wheres to be found, the monkeys bounced in the trees, and the gazelles galloped off…. BUT….
THIS THING…whatever it may be, will find you. It will crawl into your pants. It will pretend its not there as you wear your jeans. And then it will move…with its spiny legs and massive pinchers and you WILL scream! Just a forewarning of my experience!
