I just have to update you, and praise Jesus on some amazing blessings! About 4 weeks ago, I had told many people I was 1/15th of the way to my final amount. My account had finally hit the $1, 000 mark and I was super excited! Woo hoo! A couple of days after that, my account read alittle over $2,000. WOW!! But that is not it, I am exactly 4 days away from my first deadline and I need…$0. I MADE IT TO THE FIRST DEADLINE! Not only did I make it to the first deadline, I am over it! I am $576 onto my second deadline! I mean when it "rains" it pours God's love! I can't believe I actually made it to my first deadline. I can not say thank you enough to everyone who has so graciously supported me through finances, prayer, and just simply an encouraging word! I love the Lord my God for allowing me to be one step closer to this amazing journey of faith, growth, and a God experience.
As the first deadline has been made, I am looking hopefully onto my second one! Yay! My second deadline is the second week of August. I need to have $6,500 in my account. No biggy for the God who "created the heavens and the earth…" The God who said, "Let there be light, an expanse between waters, water under the sky, vegetation, lights in the sky, water teeming with living creatures, land, living creatures, and man," and there was all of that!! That God who did all of that can bring in my money!! I just know it! 🙂
I know God will bring my money in whichever way he would have. And so, thus, I wanted to share the top 10 reasons to support a world racer:
- You will get to travel around the world with me through blog posts, photos, and stories
- You will get to laugh when I write stories about strange foods, different cultures, and crazy world race experiences.
- You will be making an investment into God's work around the world and into global missions
- You will play a direct role in me becoming the woman God has desired me to be!
- You will hear God stories from 11 different countries around the world
- You will be the warm recipient of many many many thanks and lots of gratitude!!!
- You will get to experience missions in a whole new way-maybe a way that you never thought you would.
- You will be taking a leap of faith with me as I leap into this race souly on my faith and your support.
- You will be learning to trust God with how he uses our resources, bodies, time, and energy, as I learn the same lessons along with you.
- And lastly, because, frankly, who doesn't want to support someone living out of a tent for a year with barely any showers?
And this is also for those of you who haven't stepped into the journey with me. I encourage you to prayerfully consider what it looks like for you to serve the Nations this year. If that means you going to the nations and physically serving-Bring on the mosquito nets, foreign food, and wonderful God moments. ( i want to hear all of them so email me!) If it looks more like you sending someone to be your ambassador for Christ, prayerfully consider me. I would humbly serve you as I serve the people of these 11 countries. If it still looks differently than those 2 ideas, maybe it looks more like a 5:30 a.m. prayer time to lift up the nations, my team, and the work that is going on in the world for Christ's glory. If this is how you feel lead to serve the nations- then let me know so I can bring over some ice packs for your beautifully bruised knees. May God peacefully speak to you about how your heart will break this year for God's nations!
