It’s Month 11, my race is almost finished, and I shall be landing on the blessed shores of America on December 3rd. That is a little less than 3 WEEKS AWAY!!! I am torn between feelings of wishing this experience would never end and a longing to be near and embraced by my family and those dear to my heart. Then I remember that what I am doing right now is life; it’s not going to end even after I return home.
WHAT I HAVE BEEN DOING:
I know that it has been a while since you amazing, faithful followers have heard from me, and so much has transpired since last I posted. Currently, we are working with an underground ministry in Malaysia. I cannot tell you the city we are in or the one we are going to, because if the government knew there were Christians in the area, they would immediately begin investigating. It is against Sharia Law for any Christian to share their faith in this area, though it is not illegal for Islam to be evangelised and in some cases enforced. So here we are, once again sharing our faith through love. I don’t think my heart can adequately express how much I adore this ministry. It’s amazing! I get the chance of sharing my faith through action, but not in word. The ministry with which we are working is run by people with incredible hearts for this nation. They selflessly love every person that enters into their lives. They speak words of life, they declare truth, and they don’t just do so over Malaysians, but also over us. Being in the last month of this incredible journey, I don’t think I can tell you how much of an answer to prayer they are. We are weary travelers, but they revived our spirits with their words of love and copious amounts of joy.
My current ministry is not the only exciting news which I have to relay. A lot of you are probably wondering what is next for me. Well, I shall tell you!
WHAT I AM DOING NEXT:
A year and a half ago the Lord called me to abandon life as I knew it for what I thought was the short-term mission of the World Race. I now know that the World Race was only Him romancing me with the beauty of the nations because He was planning on calling me to return to serve and love His people. Many of you knew that this journey would be life-changing for me, but it seriously has changed the course of my life. I don’t want to breathe a single breath unless it is for the sake of loving my God and loving those around me.

In month three of my race the Spirit began to whisper to me the idea of reaching others through creative arts. He placed a woman named Priscilla on my squad who had a vision of bringing Christ to the nations through music and we began talking and sharing ideas. Every time we saw one another we had something new to share with one another, a new idea for how to love and reach others through not only music, but theatre and dance as well. Christ gave us every good gift and He created us as artistic beings, so why shouldn’t the arts be used to glorify the Creator of the arts? In all reality, I could, at the present moment, go to any country without the need of speaking the language and still communicate through a dance, a song, a drama, or even a painting. Any one of those mediums can cross cultural barriers and boundaries and speak to the hearts of men, women, and children globally.

This is the life He is calling me to. My dear friend, Priscilla, and I have been called to start a Creative Arts ministry. It will be a non-profit based in Atlanta, GA. We are still praying into particulars, and at this moment, we don’t even have a name for our organization, but we are taking a step of faith and following our Papa’s leading. We have been praying, fasting, vision-casting, and connecting with every friend and acquaintance we know who has experience in starting ministries and NGOs.
But I cannot make this journey alone…
Stayed tuned for Part 2!!!
