Hullo all!
My name is Kate. I love thunderstorms, the mountains, blackberries, bluegrass music, my dog, my boyfriend, Bach's prelude to cello concerto in D, horses, history, my family, photography, British costume dramas, anything French, learning about other cultures, and singing (not in that particular order). What I love more than all of these things is Christ. He is the love of my life. Nay, He IS my life. He is the reason I live, and the reason I'm not just the walking dead.
I am so excited about this new adventure, and I cannot wait to share it with all of you! Whether you're my team mate, or someone I've know my whole life, I know amazing things are going to happen on this journey, and I hope you're willing to be stretched and grow right along side me. By you making it as far as my blog page and bio, I know you are here because you care, and I thank you soooo much for that!
I am excited, but I cannot lie; I'm also slightly frightened. I'm leaving everything that is familiar. I am leaving the things I love. I am leaving what is comfortable. Why? To pursue the One I love the most. To become uncomfortable. To be challenged. To learn to love and serve in the way He desires for my life. I know I'm asking for a lot that won't be pleasant or what some may consider a "good time," but the payoff will be eternally awesome.
So please, in the moments when I'm weak, encourage me. Remind me that this is what I wanted. Or rather, I want to be reminded that this is what HE wants for my life… to follow Him and serve His kingdom.
