I would like to share a moment with you that has been one of the biggest turning points for me personally on my race so far (God decided to answer prayers for Confidence quickly).  Last week while we were still in Malaysia, I had my faith tested and tried, and I had a lot of different voices being spoken over me.  After a long day my team sat in a circle and was discussing the events and then one of my teammates asked the question, “I know that this is what happened but are you ok, is there any truth that we can speak into you right now”.  I broke down, I didn’t realize how much the day had taken out of me, how much I had held in trying to be strong.  This is when my team literally surrounded me, with each one with a hand on me, they started speaking the TRUTH of who I was back into the lies wrestling in my heart, they pumped the spirit back into me and prayed over me, and as I looked around I got such a beautiful picture of how the Body of Christ is supposed to operate.  Something clicked that night as I sat surrounded by my team on a floor in Kuala Lumpur.  A confidence in who I was was established, and I felt like I could move forward, that I could be so grounded so firm in the Truth of who I was that the wind or the waves could not move me, I gained roots that night, thanks to the support of my team and the situation that the Lord let me experience in that day.

Therefore, my dear brothers, stand firm. Let nothing move you. Always give yourselves fully to the work of the Lord, because you know that your labor in the Lord is not in vain.
-1 corinthians 15:58

I hope this will encourage everyone to seek community, to allow truth to be spoken into the darkest parts of your heart, and to stand firm in the person who God has made you to be!

So we have entered Cambodia.  Let me tell you what I have experienced in Cambodia so far.  Sweating, mosquito nets, bucket shower in pond water, family of six on a motorbike, showering in the rain, tag on the beach with the women we are living with, rats and large bugs as new roommates, exhaustion, yummy food with fresh veggies, mango trees, beautiful women, sweet little boys who pick flowers for you and put them in your hair, amazing faith, language barriers, headlamps, dancing Cambodian style, Chinese new year celebrations, healing, testimonies I can hardly believe, heartbreaking stories, resilience, joy, violence, LOVE, Jesus saving people’s lives like crazy, God doing crazy things through the faith and obedience of one person’s vision!

We are working with Teen Challenge Cambodia’s women home.  We are living with the 10 women and 3 children and they have welcomed us as part of the family.  More stories to come to a blog near you…(sorry that was lame)
