The Lord is good. And he does cool things.
I returned from Honduras a little over a week ago from a mission trip. But this wasn't just any mission trip, this was history. A man by the name of Dominic Russo had a dream in his heart to see the entire nation of Honduras saved in a day as Isaiah 66:8 says, "Can a nation be saved in a day? Can a country be brought forth in a single moment?"
So missions teams were sent to all 18 departments (states) in Honduras. I was in the department of Colón, and simultaneously thousands of others were all over the nation. During the week we did ministry in schools, and on Saturday July 20, (1 Nation 1 Day), we held huge conferences in stadiums all across the country. We had around 40,000 in Colón, and nationwide there were 1.6 million Hondurans who attended, many more watched as it was broadcast live, and all heard the good news of Jesus and many were healed and saved!
We serve a big God who is capable of saving entire nations!
As with any mission trip of this kind, there are countless stories to tell. But there is one that stands out in my mind that I want to share with you. We were doing ministry outside at a school, and we had done a few skits, a guy rapped, someone shared a testimony and presented the Gospel. We did a salvation call and prayed with those who wanted to receive Jesus, and then we did a call for those who needed healing. We asked them to come forward or raise their hands if they needed healing and we would come and pray with them. I was walking around looking and a teacher pointed a young girl out to me and told me to go pray for her.
I asked her if she needed healing and if I could pray with her. She shared with me that for the past 2 years she had struggled with stomach pain and that she had been to doctors and tried medicines, but nothing helped. I told her that the Lord wanted to heal her and that he would. Then I shared a bit of my story with her. You see, I was this young girl. I used to have stomach issues too. I tried different things, but a lot of the time I was in pain. But one night at church, someone prayed for me and I was healed. I told this young girl that God healed me and he was going to heal her as well. So I prayed for her going in between English and Spanish since I didn't have a translator with me, and when I finished praying I asked her how she felt. She told me that as I was praying, she physically felt something happening in her stomach and that she was no longer in pain! This young girl was healed in the name of Jesus! I was going to go walk around to see if there was anyone else to pray with, but before I left, I asked her what her name was. She told me, "me llamo Catalin" or "my name is Catalin". How incredible! Kate is short for Katelyn. I told her, "that's my name too!" (translated, of course). The Lord is cool, y'all!!
Here is a picture of Catalin!

Be encouraged. The Lord is good and he is doing great things. He will take where you have been and use it to free others. Revelation 12 says "they overcame by the blood of the lamb and the word of their testimony." I didn't heal Catalin. It is by the blood of Jesus that she was healed, and it was by the word of our testimonies that she came to the realization that she could be saved and healed.
Honduras was incredible. I have many more stories I could share. But the God that rocked the nation of Honduras is the God of the universe. I was reading in Acts today where Peter and John prayed for a lame beggar who was healed. The scripture says the onlookers were astonished, but Peter asked them, "Why does this surprise you? By faith in the name of Jesus this man was made strong." (Acts 3:12, 16) God rocked the nation of Honduras, but he will do miracles like this and like the one I shared in every nation if we believe and ask for it!!
