Growing up, my dad was a fireman. When I was younger our house phone looked like a fire house (house shaped and red with the actual phone part you talk into and hear out of sitting inside hooked on under the roof). On the number pad there were numbers 1-9, the star key(*), and the pound sign (#) like always, but there was also an extra button that automatically called 911. The picture on the key was a picutre of a flame/fire. One day (between the ages of 3-4) when my dad was at work, I decided that I missed him and I wanted to talk to him, so I picked up the phone and pressed the fire button…because my dad puts out fires so it'd make sense that the way to contact him would be to press the button with the fire on it, right? When the person on the other line picked up and said, "911, what's your emergency?" I got mad that it wasn't my dad and I hung up the phone. The operator called back and my mom answered, eventually figuring out what had happened.
