1) Team GPS!! God’s Path is Straight… and if it’s not straight, it’s surely Steadfast! This team has given me a double dose of God’s love, joy, and encouragement.
2) Finding out there’s Zumba on the street right outside the ministry home base I was staying at for the month on Friday mornings… And participating!
3) Adventures with Ate Ria (ate, pronounced “ah-tay,” is a sign of respect like calling someone a big sister). Spanish forts to Filipino buffets to The Mall of Asia. Every moment with her was wonderful and Team GPS is so thankful for her many blessings while we were there!
4) Everything I got to jump off of and into throughout the month. I love adventures!! Thank You God for a beautiful creation with endless enjoyment.
5) Impromptu singing performance with BLT on our 2Go boat overnight cruise to Boracay.
6) Every beautiful little face I met walking through the streets of the Philippines all month long.
7) Coffee and dates. And coffee dates. #NoBoysAllowed
8) Our 5 days spent on the island of Boracay. Just… Everything! No way I can pick only one moment from our time there, so I pick them all!
9) Teaching Chinese teachers in the Philippines English in Manila’s China Town. Now if that’s not confusing, I don’t know what is. But the two Saturdays I spent there with these teachers were two of my favorite nights of the month!
10) Community feedings. These moments and these needs are to never be forgotten. Two large food bins are carried into the community and put in a central location. We go with the local boys up and down the streets yelling that it’s feeding time to let the community know. They grab anything empty they have.. Empty mugs, Tupperware, plastic bags, and bellies come flooding towards the food buckets for a few scoops of nutrition. Empty bellies and full smiles sure do have a way of changing your heart.
11) World Hoop Day! I’m officially a hooper and I couldn’t be more thankful for the unexpected adventure that started my month out right and now ends my list out right!
Month 4. The Philippines. You’ll always own a special place in my heart.
It’s more fun in the Philippines!
