I'm a big fan of the game "Favorites" ..Never heard of it? Well, here's how it goes. It's a back and forth question game where each person involved in the game comes up with a favorite thing to ask the group about.
Ex: "What is your favorite food?" "What is your favorite movie?" "Where is your favorite vacation spot?" "What was your favorite moment of the day?"
This game is both a GREAT way to get to know people and a fantastic way to pass time. I've decided I'll be using this game as a way to give yall my highlights of each month as I prepare for World Race and my highlights of each country as I travel around the world. I'll be keeping the 11in11 theme by giving yall my top 11 moments each month.
September's Top 11:
10) Andy Stroup's fundraising presentation and feedback session.
9) First support check (other than my own) getting posted to my fundraising page.
8) Seeing a person's name that I didn't know give to support me.
7) Having a friend ask me about WR and then proceed to give me everything she had in her wallet.
6) Getting a text from a dad saying his kids heard about my trip and want to give to my WR funds.
5) Experiencing what I like to call "The Ripple Effect," having friends of friends reach out wanting to hear more about WR and how they can help.
4) Connecting with 2 precious sisters that I'll be going on the race with.
3) My amazing friend, Mo, and all of the generous people involved in the "Luke 12:33 Facebook
Auction"
2) Telling my Grandma, after 6 years, that I love Jesus for the first time ever.
1) Getting a $200 check and note that read, "I'm proud of you for this journey and for so many other things. I admire your spirit and envy your ability to fill a room with your smile and laughter. May you continue to be that glowing light in other peoples' lives." in the mail from my beautiful big sister who, although she doesn't understand what God means to me, wants to support me on this adventure just the same. These words you wrote mean more to me than I can explain to you. LYMYMI.
