I hope this letter finds you doing well! I am writing to tell you about an incredible opportunity that has come into my life. As I wrap up my final year of graduate school at Louisiana State University (LSU), I am also preparing for the greatest adventure of my life. God has placed an un-ignorable call on my heart to love and serve His children around the world, and He has faithfully provided me with the opportunity to do this.
From July 1, 2013 through May 31, 2014 I will serve as a missionary through the organization Adventures in Missions, specifically their World Race program. The World Race is an 11-month Christian mission trip to 11 different countries around the world. While the World Race continues to change and expand with God’s will and purpose, its mission is to serve “the least of these”, pursuing and spreading God’s truth through it all. It also partners with many different ministries to serve God’s people, bringing the abundant life that He promises through work in orphanages, church planting, ministering to women and children trapped in prostitution as a result of human trafficking, and bringing the restoration and hope of God’s love.
Although this is all very exciting news, I know I cannot do it apart from God and the help of His people. I have full confidence that my Father in Heaven will provide for my every need during preparation for this experience and throughout my travels. Ultimately, my prayer is that He will provide these things through you. With this unique opportunity for you and I to partner in reaching people around the world with the love of Christ, I ask that you prayerfully consider giving a gift of any amount or in any way that the Lord places on your heart. I need to raise $15,500 for the World Race, which covers all of my expenses while I’m on the field. This financial support can be given as a one-time gift or as a monthly donation, wherein you choose the amount and the beginning and end date.
