It has always been my ambition to preach the gospel where Christ was not known, so that I would not be building on someone else's foundation. Rather, as it is written: "Those who were not told about him will see, and those who have not heard will understand." (Romans 15:20-21)
As I continue to prepare for this enormous calling that lies in front of me, I can't help but be excited when I think about the places that God has placed on our agenda. After doing some research and calculations, I can't describe my emotions at what I found. When adding the numbers of Unreached People Groups in each of the 11 countries we are scheduled to visit, the total number came to 3,324.
What?!
That is 3,324 GROUPS of people who "were not told about him", no where near giving a glimpse of the number of individual people who have the potential to live their entire lives without hearing the name Jesus of Nazareth. — If for whatever reason I was still unsure about God calling me to this assignment, it would be impossible for me to say no after seeing this!
But I absolutely can not continue on this mission without you. Yes, you!
You, who see these numbers and are just as blown away. You who have the burden to continue to go, and to seek, and to tell until every single person, in every single people group, in every single nation have heard the redeeming news of the Gospel. You who yearn to see the world restored through the cross of Christ. You who have the vision at heart, but have been called to the mission fields of your own lives – your kids, your job, your church, your community. It is YOU who make it possible for those of us whom God has called to actually be the "boots on the ground" reaching these tribes and nations. It is your financial support that provides us with the ability to do what God has called us all to do, to "Go into all the world and preach the gospel to all creation." (Mark 16:15).
