Now that I have a few minutes to think (and gather) .. here a few of my favorite moments from camp. Photo Credz to my amazing Squad Mates!

Without further adue, I present to you,

“That One Time When:”

That One Time When:

Kristen and I worked all day, then hit the road North to GA!

That One Time When:

We had the most epic multi-day Sleepover in preparation for Training Camp!

That One Time When:

We continued the sleepover at REI, testing out camping pillows

That One Time When:

We set up our tents for the first time at camp and realize “Oh snap, this is REALLY happening!?!”

That One Time When:

We learned real quickly that personal space is subjective

That One Time When:

I realized just how heavy a year’s worth of life feels when placed upon your shoulders

That One Time When:

We cooked our own food over a campfire — with wood we scavenged and chopped ourselves!

That One Time When:

We crammed 45 people under 2 tarps to sleep for the night

That One Time When:

The same 45 people were told to sleep on a 23 seat bus for the night. So we stayed up w0rshiping and pr@ying for healing over our brothers and sisters for most of the night.

That One Time When:

We learned that “clean” is also subjective. And plates/silverware are pretty clean with just a little swipe of the hand and a dunk in bleach water!

That One Time When:

When the “king” came through as we were shopping for dinner in a simulated market

That One Time When:

I “lost” everything I owned (thanks to the awesome Haitian Airport Officials [the irony was NOT lost on me!]) So I slept in a borrowed hammock for the night. First night sleeping in a hammock, most definitely not my last!

That One Time When:

We bought all our food for the night from a market — as close to a real third-world market as I’ve ever seen!

That One Time When:

Papa brought together an unlikely group of 6 women, and created the start of something Beautiful and Amazing in Team River Dwellers!

That One Time When:

We were released from Camp for a few hours.. so Team River Dwellers stuffed ourselves silly in a real restaurant and went bowling!

That One Time When:

Papa moved mountains and caused a long-lost box of 50 bomb-diggity t-shirts to literally show up on the doorstep of the camp. An answer to a pr@yer I had given up on pr@ying.

That One Time When:

Over 150 young men and women converged in a small conference room and LET LOOSE in loving their Papa!

That One Time When:

The most amazing, crazy group of young people became a FAMILY!
