(I wrote this last month.  I know, even when I write them I don't even post them in a timely-fashion.  You, my dear readers, are fantastically patient with my erratic, if even existent, blogging attempts.  Thank you.

I'm now in MONTH 11, about 27 days from American soil, sitting in a Tica Bus station in San Jose, Costa Rica, waiting to board our 11pm bus to Panama – yet another surprise country! – and complete our 50+ hour travel "day".)

So, it's been a while.  A long while, I'll admit.

Since I last wrote all those months ago, I've spent a month in Ukraine, celebrated my birthday in Budapest, become Team Leader of the beautiful Sound girls, flown back to our side of the world (on a plane with no TVs!) and spent a month in Guatemala.

It's currently Month 10, and I'm in Tegucigalpa, Honduras, tenting with my entire squad and ministering to street boys around the city.

Some things I've learned since I last wrote:

1.  If you go to Guatemala, plan on getting mugged.

2.  Nail polish crosses all language and age barriers.

3.  Hondurans make spaghetti with coke (…the soda, not the drug.)

4.  Although "tramposa" is a Spanish word for cheating, it refers to a specific type of cheating and is not to be used towards the 89-year old Latina grandmother who is cheating in bingo.

5.  Spanish – English dictionaries are not always to be trusted.  (See number 4.)

6.  Corn tortillas will never be as good as flour tortillas.

7.  Food poisioining is still, and will likely always be, one of my least favorite things.

8.  Redemption is always beautiful.

9.  Nothing tastes better in a third-world country than Dunkin Donuts.

10.  Living with 40 of your best friends is both miserable and wonderful at the same time.

11.  Sharing a coed bathroom with them is only ever miserable.

12.  PE in Honduras looks a little different than it does in America.

Please note the concrete floor below and the lack of spotters.
