Every day at 4pm, we meet at the tree by the main road & hop on a red public bus to our oddly enough little slice of heaven.
We arrive to the smell of the dirty river and cow poop, but it does not discourage us.
We hear the screams of the little kids excited at the glimpse of our presence.

Angel and Sagar run into Aaron’s arms ready to sing and dance as much as they can.
Asmita chases Kailyn as she leaves for the bus home, because both her and Kailyn would be perfectly okay with her staying there.
Khusi grabs Emilee one of the first days and leads her to her house for milk tea.
Bedika gives Sarah a necklace to remind her of the one she has on her neck.
Manju & Rasila play with Alexa’s hair and hang on to the sweet moments they get to share.
Supriya looks at Ellen and smiles while she grips on to her hand tightly.
Prabha, Sapana, & I carry jugs of water to the house, then we sit and laugh as we love each other well each day.
Ishka spins around laughing with Payson enjoying her child like faith.
Aaron welcomes his girlfriend’s, Kailyn and I, with a hug, smile, and “hey girlfriends…” in a very monotone voice.
Suprime walks around with his 5 rupees ready to get himself some candy, because without it he’s one grumpy cookie.
Devi takes a break from cooking or cleaning to braid my hair.

We came to sing, play, and share a little bit on who Christ is to these kids and families, but to me we did so much more than that.
We built relationships and through that we showed them Jesus without words.
Being the hands and feet of Christ is just as important as sharing the good news.
Your words have power, but unless you’re living your words out they are useless.
So instead of shoving the gospel down peoples throats, show them his goodness, forgiveness, love, and passion through your actions.
