I need $2,409 more to be fully funded!! Guys I am so so close!
So, I’m just sitting in school thinking. We haven’t been doing anything for the past week because we’ve been doing finals and finishing up preparing for graduation. I’m getting equipment picked out, and with my graduation money I should have close to enough to get all of that.
We are leaving in 3 months! September feels so far away until I really think about it.
What’s really been on my mind is a Sudanese woman who is currently in prison for being Christian. Her father was Muslim, but he left when she was very young so she was raised by her Christian mother. She’s in jail for apostasy and for marrying a Christian man. Her nearly 2 year old son is in the prison with her. 3 days ago she gave birth to a little baby girl. She is sentenced to 100 lashes with a whip and execution by hanging.
This story has been on my mind for a few days. Her husband is American and so is her son.
Things like this aren’t just a story it’s really happening and this is why I want to do ministry. This is why I want to go to other countries and share my faith because things like this shouldn’t be happening, but they are.
