So this month in South Africa we are living in great conditions! There is no mud, dirt, or grime to be found. We have warm showers, comfy beds, and a microwave.

South Africa is a 1st world country. That means in many ways it is very comfortable and feels like America. We are definitely not “roughing it” here.

This may make some people feel like this country doesn’t need our help. I would argue that they need help just as much!

Being here in South Africa makes me realize all that can be done to encourage people to come to God and grow deeper in relationship with God!

We feed the homeless every night and pray with them and pass out Bibles. We have Bible studies for women who have walked hard paths in life. We help with orphan children who just need God’s love!

This has made me realize that I after the Race, I can make a huge difference even in a first world country like the US. The US has a huge homeless population, women who need ministering, and children who need love! I can be a light for Jesus in the mountains of North Georgia!

Bottom line: If you can’t find people who need God around you, you aren’t looking hard enough!
