Sarah is a woman who truly walks out what it looks like to be a woman of God. And goodness, I admire her so much for that. She is confident in who she is, and she will always stand by that. She’s not afraid to speak up and speak out. She’s bold in her faith. She’s not afraid to dance like a fool or sing her heart out. She stays singing or should I say yelling the Hamilton soundtrack. She loves talking to strangers and making new friends. She can talk all day about Marvel, and politics. She loves talking about deep and meaningful subjects, and stays encouraging me to do the same (me= enneagram 7=deep things/emotions=not for me). She is a big advocate for Boba tea and grilled cheese and tomato soup. A worship queen. She’s just good for me. Always calling me to be better. To look more like Jesus. She’s a lot sillier than she lets on, and can get a sis (me) rolling on the floor, in laughter. She is simply and boldly just herself, and I just absolutely love her for that. She leaps and bounds in the confidence of the Lord, and consistently walks or should I say runs in joy. She empowers others to find the beauty in all situations. She has a really large vocabulary that most of the time I can’t keep up with (Sarah: “Karson, I was homeschooled and my mom made me do vocabulary lists all of the time. Get off my back!”) She remembers the small and most random details that everyone else forgets, and if that’s not intentionality, I don’t know what is. She’s the girl that watches the most random Netflix series that no one else would even think of watching, but gets you into watching them too and then you find yourself actually enjoying them. She loves the oldies, big fan of Led Zeppelin. My Subaru-driving twin. Team Rooted’s Spanish speaker, even though she hardly even spoke any Spanish. She’s passionate when she speaks and loves to talk, BUT also is one of the best listeners with such great wisdom to offer. She embraces awkward moments. She is a big social justice girlie, and fights for it with hopefulness, passion, expectancy, and fire. She’s the girl I go to to talk about hard, controversial, and theological topics. She just carries so much depth, and any person would be lucky to know her.
Sarah, thanks for being my sister for life. I wouldn’t trade you for the world. You bring so much joy and laughter to my life. Thanks for being the one that I am on the same wave length more often then not.
