First off I apologize for the scarcity of my posts as wifi in Nsoko, Swaziland is almost nonexistent. In a week I will leave for Port Elizabeth and I’m so excited! My time in Swaziland has been spend at the Mahangeni carepoint. Every day my team walks 3+ miles back and forth to our carepoint, where the children get there one meal of the day (rice and beans). Mahangeni serves over 50 children and the room they have to teach the kids in is roughly 100 square feet. Though it isn’t hot right now, in the summer time there is no relief from the heat as it is basically a dirt lot. The staff here approached us last week with a fundraising project to help these beautiful children. Our goal is to raise 2000 USD to help build a shelter for the kids to be able to eat and learn without having to be under blazing sun and if we raise more than the goal it will go towards building a garden. If you would like to donate the link will be posted below. The kids at Mahangeni are so funny and full of life and no matter how I’m feeling they put a smile on my face. I can’t believe that my time here in Swazi is coming to an end and that I’m soon going to be leaving these sweet children. Their little brown faces will be engraved in my heart forever.
This Saturday we are going to Manzini (a big city) to go shopping and out to eat to celebrate our last weekend here. Please pray for my team as we will be traveling a lot in the coming week. Thank you all so much for the endless support and prayers that are making my dreams come true.
