I would like to first say, thank you so much for being a part of my life! This letter is to get you up to speed on what has been happening in my life more recently.
For the past three years I have been attending The King’s University at Gateway studying Counseling. I have absolutely loved it there, but after the mission trip to Spain I took last summer, I have been feeling like God has been calling me to the mission field. God really reminded me of my love for people and different cultures while I was in Spain, and now I feel the call to do the World Race in October. I believe that this World Race is a great opportunity for me to refocus on what God really wants me to do with the degree that I am working toward. This World Race will also help connect what I have been learning to real world needs, and will ultimately help give me the drive to finish out my college years with passion and a purpose for graduating.
But what is the World Race? The World Race is an eleven-month mission trip that goes to eleven countries all over the world. Through the World Race, my team and I will serve in partnership with churches and ministries in local communities to preach the Gospel, plant churches, work in orphanages, minister to women and children trapped in prostitution as a result of human trafficking, and bring the restorative hope of the Father’s love to many tribes and nations.I have felt that God has been calling me to do this for the past six months, and now everything is really falling into place. It is an amazing chance to really experience and be a part of so many different cultures, as well an opportunity to connect with people all over the world while utilizing the counseling skills I have learned to develop close relationships with the people I meet. I would love if each and every one of you could be a part of this journey with me!
This is going to be an amazing endeavor, but along the way I will be facing many challenges. The first of these is going to be raising $16,961. Like most other missions organizations, World Race participants are required to fundraise financial support. It is a large sum of money, but it will be covering all of my field expenses for a year. In order to leave I need to have $10,000 raised by September 16, 2016, and have the full $16,961 raised by the end of January 2017.
As I take this next step in my journey, would you please consider donating to my funds? Through this site you will also be able to follow me through my journey. I have also included a card that will allow you to donate a check made out to Adventures in Missions if you do not want to pay online. All of the donations towards my World Race are also tax deductible. If you choose to donate you are able to make a one-time donation or donate monthly, whichever is easier for you!
