Hi friends, family, and loved ones!
This month marks the 4th month of the race. Crazy right? my team and I are currently in Chile and have had an exhausting but wonderful first week here. We have very limited wifi this month at our ministry house, which is why I am just now sending you this update!
Having little access to Internet this month has already shown me so much about being intentional with my time and being able to engage and invest more in the people that I am fortunate to be surrounded by. We are truly immersed in the Chilean culture and I am really trying hard to learn and practice met Spanish. Love definitely know no barriers, but it is also good to be able to communicate and have conversations with the girls we live with and with the kids we are interacting with in the community.
My team and I this month are partnering with a couple of schools and the neighboring orphan community to teach english. The area we currently reside in is very poor and the children have little to nothing at home. it has been a blessing to enter into those classrooms and assist the teachers in providing them with an education and also life skills. One of the schools we serve is a school specifically for children with special needs. I have received more hugs, sloppy wet kisses, and smiles than I have in a long time. I am currently working on a blog that goes into to in more detail, so expect that soon!
I really want to continue to be more intentional with my time in keeping you updated with this amazing journey and what ministry looks like for us this month. Thank you for all of your support and providing the funds and resources for His kingdom and people to experience His love and word in crazy awesome ways.
