One of my favorite activities is stargazing. It just comes with the territory when you are a dreamer. To stargaze, sometimes people like to use a telescope.

Think about what a telescope does. You look through its lens and makes the stars that are billions of light years away look like they are right I front of your face.

In a way, that is our job as Christians. Instead of magnifying stars we magnify Gods glory. We are the lens for others to see God’s kingdom. They should be able to look at us and know that Jesus is right there, His Holy Spirit dwelling with in us. We are to make it known that God is not some distant being, but is alive and active in our lives. Before we can do that for others, we need to believe that truth for ourselves.

Have you ever asked yourself what it the difference between believing in God and believing God? It’s subtle, but there is a difference.

To me the difference is trust. Many people believe in God or at least believe there is a God. But I would argue that that only a small margin of them believe God. That is they believe His Word and trust that God will be faithful in keeping that Word.

If you’re reading this Blog most likely you believe on some level that God exists. If not it’s okay, you might be reading this out of curiosity. If so please comment or message me with any questions you have. But if you are someone who believes that God exists, ask your self if you believe God. To you trust Him with the big things and the little things?

Do you believe He is faithful? Or do you just know it from years of church attendance? I’m sorry but those aren’t the same thing. Knowing but not believing will prevent you from having the Joy, Joy, Joy, Joy down in your heart and will prevent the peace that passes all understanding.

On the race I have definitely been forced to decide it I believe in God or if I believe God. Everyday I have to surrender fears and doubts to Him and trust He will be faithful. It’s been a process, but with practice it becomes permanent and easier.
