It was a Friday afternoon. While sitting in my office, very confused, I was asking God, "What are You calling me to do?". As I browsed through facebook, on the right hand side corner under "sponsored links", I found a small picture and a link that said WORLD RACE and something about missions. So, I clicked on it and as I was reading about it, it was like one of those "light bulb" moments… Have you ever had one of those? It was as if God did something inside of me at that moment and said "This is what I'm calling you to do". I was so excited that day! I called my friend and told him all about it. That evening, I went to a young adult church service and the whole time I couldn't stop thinking about "THE WORLD RACE". Towards the end of service, I went up for prayer, and without saying anything, the woman of God that was praying for me, randomly stopped praying and said "Do you have passion and love for the nations?", very slowly I stuttered, "yeahhhh". Then, she said, "Well, while I was praying for you, the Lord showed me a map of the WHOLE WORLD all over YOU!." Talk about confirmation from God. 🙂
After that, I kept going to the World Race website for months without taking any action. I was afraid. The part of having to raise money always discouraged me. I never thought to stop and think about My father who is in heaven is the owner of ALL Silver and Gold, and if He was calling me to that, He would provide absolutely Everything I needed. I just had to trust Him. So, little by little, I filled out my application and finally I submitted it, had my interview, and got accepted. That is the day my life changed, (again).
I feel like this is the end of a season for my life and a new season is about to start very soon, in a deeper level with God. I am so excited to what is to come. I am leaving EVERYTHING to go on this mission trip, without knowing what is to come afterwards. I am trusting in God because He says that He knows the plans he has for me, and they are plans to prosper me and to give me a hope an a future. I don't know what the future brings, all I know is that I want to live my life to the fullest, to what God created me to be and to do.
I feel this is it for this season in my life.

Note: If this is the first time you are reading one of my blogs, I will serve as a missionary through an organization called, “Adventures in Missions” (AIM), in their “World Race” program. This is an 11-month Christian mission trip that will go to 11 different countries around the world. On the World Race, my team and I will serve in partnership with churches and ministries in local communities to preach the Gospel, plant churches, work in orphanages, and even minister to women and children who are trapped in prostitution as a result of human trafficking. We will also have the opportunity to bring the restoration and hope of the Father’s love to many tribes and nations.
