Month 1: El Salvador
This month we had the amazing opportunity to help rebuild a small building which will be used for the children of the church. This building is where some children will hear the word of God for the first time. Not only did we have the privilege of working on this house we also had the distinct honor of working side by side with the family contact we were serving. This was also a very difficult month for me because manual labor is not my ideal form of ministry. But knowing that God can turn something abandoned and desolate into something that will produce fruit and life was truly a rewarding lesson. Not only does he do this in the natural by turning this building into a kid’s church he also does this with our hearts on a daily basis. He takes what is desolate and empty inside of us and with our submission brings life and fruit to our dry and dead bones. Even though the manual labor was difficult it became worth it because of the outcome. Just like working on our dry and empty places can become difficult the outcome of becoming whole and healed in christ is always worth it.
Thank you to all who have been praying for me this month and all those who have helped me reached my financial goals. It has truly been a privilege to be here and be able to be the hands and feet of God!
To those of you still interested in supporting my race I still have two deadlines to meet in order to stay on the race please prayerfully consider giving toward these deadlines.
