I know many of you want to know what happened at training camp, but it was honestly so indescribable that words don't really cover it. But, my experience was so incredible that I am going to try to show you with an illustration. Hopefully this picture will help you understand the transformation that took place.
At the beginning of the week, I was the new kid about to start a new school. I had no idea what to expect. I was excited, but fearful. Standing off to the side biting my fingernails, desperate to make friends, but terrified that everyone would hate me.
By the end of the week I was a little girl, spinning around in circles with a giant grin on my face, dancing with my daddy. Nothing else mattered. The whole world faded away in the moment. My Heavenly Father scooped me up in his arms and just danced with me.
It's kind of funny how we have to have the spirit of a child to mature into a man or woman of God. Sometimes we can get so caught up in "growing up" in the spirit with deep biblical studies and long intense sermons that we forget how to dance. Absolutely engage in deep biblical study, but also strive to become more like little children.
But Jesus said, “Let the children come to me. Don’t stop them! For the Kingdom of Heaven belongs to those who are like these children. Matthew 19:14 (NLT)
