Hey Amazing Followers!
I know it’s been a while since you have heard from me, so please forgive me! Africa has been wonderful in many ways the past two months but wifi has not been one of them! But the mountains, oceans, beautiful faces, warm hugs, and little hands have made up for it!
I can’t believe my race is coming to an end. It seems like just yesterday God was blowing my mind by moving in crazy ways in China, or stealing my heart with the sweet babies in Thailand… But that was almost a year ago!
Last month in Swaziland we worked in El Shaddai Children’s home and it was amazing. I spent most of my time in the baby house loving on sweet babies and preschoolers. They absolutely stole my heart and I will never forget their excited faces when I would walk in the door.
This month we have been helping a local pastor in Port Saint Johns South Africa. We had a weeklong vbs that was from 8:00am to 2:00pm so it was an exhausting and rewarding week! We’ve done a few home visits and worked with the teens from the church a lot. This is the first church that has been filled with teenage boys! We have been amazed by how these young men allow God to use them in their community.
In just 17 days I will be back on American soil. I just want to say thank you to everyone who has supported me, followed my blogs, or prayed for me on this journey. I have been blessed to share this year with you all! It is with absolute sincerity that I say I would love to grab coffee with you all and talk about this year and what’s next :). For now, I feel like God is calling me to the states, at least for a few years (don’t panic mom lol). But I could absolutely see myself going back to Asia eventually to teach internationally. But I have no plans set in stone. I will go wherever God calls me, when he calls. But I am very excited to spend some much needed time with my family. I love you all and can’t wait to see you soon!
