1. Playing human frogger to cross the street. Seriously though, break every rule your mom ever taught you and run across 12 lanes of heavy traffic, as cars fly in front and behind you so close you can touch them, while screaming. #sillyamericans

2. Putting my used toilet paper in the trash can. I am VERY thankful that we have actual toilets this month!!! But I'm still like mid toilet use trying to decide where to put the paper… Oh and don't forget to BRING the paper…

3. Having no idea what to do with a garbage can full of said used toilet paper… The correct answer to this one was put it in the stairwell in case you were wondering. The stairwell smells AWESOME!

4. Not speaking 2 miles per hour with hand signals, to English speaking team members. I'm (point to self)… Going (point in direction)… To (hold up two fingers)… Get (reach out and make fists, pull fists in)… Wifi (Chinese people understand "wifi", you're good).

5. Waking up at 6:00am and being dead tired by 8:00pm! Thank you 12 hour time change… I've always wanted to be a morning person.

6. Not having electricity, hot water, or air conditioning… Just kidding! We're in China living the high life!

7. Losing my concept of personal space! Asian busses… Enough said! They literally cram 50+ people standing on the busses here. Not to mention anyone you meet talks to you like 1 inch away from your face, and wants to link arms or hold hands the whole time you walk anywhere! This also applies to fellow world racers, especially during travel days 🙂

8. Not having a schedule/knowing what day/ knowing what hour it is… And really not caring! This one is super freeing, but a major adjustment from American culture!

9. Walking anywhere in public and having EVERYONE stare at you! Seriously, were the first white people that the majority of locals have ever seen! It's pretty exciting but so strange.

10. Not being able to talk to friends and family whenever I want. This is so different because in America I can text anyone and get an immediate response! Here not so much. It's great because I'm abandoning all my comforts from home, but still something that's hard to get used to.

11. Having Jesus lead and guide every second of my day! I hope I never get used to this one! It's so awesome to rely on the spirit in everything you do, and I want to continue to grow in this every day!
