Dear Friends and Family,

Hello! Hola!
Jambo! Ni hao!

I am excited to tell you
about a ministry opportunity I am participating in this upcoming year.

Since graduating from college in May of 2006,
many of you know I have been searching for my place in life and waiting on
God’s leading. I heard about a trip called the

World Race several times before but didn’t think much about it
because going out of the country for a year was out of the question, or so I
thought. God had different plans and it was only through His patient leading
that He brought me right where He wanted me!

11 Countries in 11 Months!!

The World Race is for 20 to 30 year olds who take a

year of their life and live like Jesus lived while traveling around
the world.

Along the way, we expect to
experience God in a new way while

ministering
to the poor and befriending those who have no friends and are in the midst of
sorrow and pain.

Simplicity and servanthood
are at the heart of the World Race. When we travel, we will need to
make the most of our resources. In many places, we will stay in tents or
wherever people invite us to stay, just as Jesus instructed His disciples to
do. As we go, we join local partners, serving them in their
ministry. Some work in orphanages, others respond to natural disasters,
still others plant local fellowships that reach out in love to the
community.
World
Race teams
are relevant because they work through pre-existing relationships. We will
partner with them to establish long-term Kingdom works that will last long
after we leave.

My greatest
desire is to learn to trust God with my whole life and to hear Him speak
clearly to me.

God has given me a
passion and heart for the lost and hurting souls around the world as well as a
love for those desiring to grow in Christ, including the poorest of the
poor.

I’ve always had a desire to travel
and meet people where they are.

During
this World Race, I will be discipled and trained in various areas of ministry
and missions.

I will have the opportunity
to minister to people who need to hear of salvation through Jesus.

I thank God
for this opportunity and trust He will meet my needs.

Ultimately, my prayer is that He will do that
through YOU.

I would be honored if you
could partner with me prayerfully.

Prayer is the most powerful thing and this ministry is nothing without your
prayers!

I am specifically asking for
fifteen people who will commit to pray for me each day until I return.

A number of
you may be in a position to contribute to my support financially.

I need to raise $16,000 for this trip.

I calculated that if 90 people give $15 a
month for 12 months or a one time amount of $180, I would reach my goal!

$5, $20, $50, $500 – no matter the amount,
God can and will use what you are willing and able to give!

Please pray about supporting me in this way.

I have
attached a response card and pre-addressed envelope, which invites you to share
in this ministry.

Please make checks
payable to

Adventures In Missions.

You may write “appealed

by Kari Stembel” in the memo section of the check if you wish.

Including the enclosed card will provide AIM
with all necessary information.

In turn,
they will send you a receipt.

All gifts
are tax-deductible.

You can find
more information about the World Race at www.theworldrace.org.

I will be posting a log on the web throughout
my trip and you’ll be able to read about and see photos of our adventure during
the trip.

The web address for my page is

I am excited
to see how God will use me and what He will teach me through this
experience.

I hope not only to be a
blessing to those I serve, but also to you.

My desire is to go as your representative of Jesus Christ.

I hope you will prayerfully consider being a
part of my ministry.

Thank you so much
for your support!

All For Him,

~Kari Stembel

Then I heard the voice of the Lord
saying,

“Whom shall I send? And who will go for
us?”

And I said,

“Here am
I.
Send me!”
