Shoveling, raking, pushing (a wheel burrow), drawing, painting, scrubbing, cooking, playing, rolling paint, delivering food, teaching, singing, holding kids…these are things we have been a part of the past few days.

One day after the daily feeding in the community, Bob (the father of Linda-from London, our contact here in Backdoor, SA) noticed Caitlln and I helping the ladies wash dishes. Later he told us that we were teaching the people there a deep theological lesson. And we looked at him like, “what are you talking about?” And he continued to explain that even there, because of the color of our skin, in their minds we shouldn’t be doing work like the cooking, cleaning, construction etc…as we had been doing. He said it’s the best way to teach them about who Christ is.

Here are a few pictures to show. Pictures speak louder than words…

These girls at the pre-school were the cutest and LOVED singing for us!
