As I sit here in the
Holiday Inn hotel, I experience mixed feelings and thoughts.  We said our good-byes to AIM base, said good-bye, cried our tears, and prayed with Caroline.  We headed off in vans for the hotel in Atlanta.  It has been a refreshing evening making last minute phone calls, re-packing for the last time, and spending time with teammates and the computer.  We all got pizza and prayed with stuff who came to say good-bye as well.

As the good-byes are said, I have another diffiicult one to report; my friend
Kelly, close and dear to my heart from April training (CA) won’t be going with us on The World Race.  God has called her back home for now.  Where she’ll go from here, I’m not sure, but please be praying for her as this is a tough thing, yet something she feels at peace about.  I will miss her alot and will miss not seeing her at debriefs or when our teams work together.  You will be missed.  I love you Kelly!

Some exciting news to announce is…we are going to
Philippines as an additional stop!  Instead of our first stop in China, we will be stopping there for a time.  I am so excited about this and am hoping to possibly see a homegrown missionary out there if possible (Caris Perdue – pray that God works that out!)

On our way out to a listening prayer time out in the community after a wind storm, we came upon a huge obstacle in our midst.  Being the strong ‘Beloved Ones’ we are, we picked that branch up and moved it out of the way.  We were proud.  But it reminded me of how we have obstacles in our midst as we pursue what Christ has for us, He comes and gives us the strength to fight the hinderances so we can continue walking in His will towards the goal set before us!

Friends are a wonderful thing!

We fly out bright and early on a plane at 7am, meaning we need to leave hear around 3:30am.  Pray for safety and smooth plans!
