MERRY CHRISTMAS

from the Philippines!!!

It hasn’t felt like Christmas since it’s so warm but I have been able to enjoy God’s creation on the beach! We had a bonfire and s’mores for Christmas eve. We sang songs (Christmas and other worship music) out on the beach as the waves rolled in, Mark spoke of how BIG and MIGHTY God is and how He chose to come to this earth as such a small being. We had communion on the beach and lit candles as we worshiped some more. God is good!

On Christmas day we had a caroling competition with the sand, Christmas jeopardy, and skits. Being with this family meant alot as we did Secret Santa gifts and had a Filipino Christmas dinner.

This time we have had on the beach just to recap the month, talk with each other about what God did, encourage one another, meet one-on-one with as many people as possible, and time just spent with Christ alone has been amazing! My time journaling, reading God’s word, singing to Him, and just talking to Him has been refreshing! God knew I needed that time to reflect and spend with Him, surrounded by His incredible creation.

Looking back on this year…2007, all I can do is praise! God has blessed me in incredible ways. This year has been a year full of preparing for the World Race and stepping out into it in September. This has been a year of preparing, of next steps, of changes. It has been a year of God breaking me, growing me, and molding me.

As I step into this next year, 2008, I anxiously await the things God has for me; tough times, beautiful times, glorious moments, more moments of brokenness and more molding, learning to trust. He makes everything beautiful in His time.

…and a HAPPY NEW YEAR!!

(we’re going out now to see the best fireworks in the area for new years)
