About BEN:
I was born and raised around Bentonville, Arkansas. I am blessed with a wonderful father and mother, and an older brother, Matthew. When I was fifteen years old I surrendered my life to Jesus Christ as my Lord and Savior. Shortly thereafter, I felt God calling me into the ministry and devoted my life to that calling. I graduated from Oklahoma Baptist University in May 2008 and Southwestern Baptist Theological Seminary in May 2011 with degrees in Music and Worship. I love to read, write, play trumpet and guitar, sing, play raquetball and tennis, hang out with friends, watch movies, bike, and spend time with my amazing wife. I am 26 years old and currently serve as Youth and Worship Pastor of a small church.
About KARI:
I was born and raised around Oklahoma City.
I have the best parents in the world (it's true– I will fight you)
and a really cool "little" brother.
I was saved which I was 7 years old. Debate was my favorite subject in high school. I have a degree in music education and taught for a few years. Now I work as a financial secretary and absolutely love it! I like to read, debate, learn about practically anything, google (it's a verb, you know), crunch numbers, and sing. I also really enjoy going garage sale and estate sale shopping, but my favorite thing is rescuing discarded furniture from the side of the road and giving it a new life with a little creativity, cleaning, and maybe some paint!
About US:
We were married on August 5, 2006. We met in college in our 9 a.m. Freshman Music Theory Class. I was an instrumental music major, Kari was vocal education. We now live in Fort Worth, TX, Bethel Acres, OK with our three two cats and two dogs who make us feel like we're the most important people in the world. We enjoy spending time watching tv and movies, and our most recent addiction is Downton Abbey.
