Pretty cool, huh?
It's actually really stinking cool if you ask me!
It's crazy to think that a country has such a thing.
The United States certainly DOES NOT have a month for the Bible.
During our time in Azua, DR:
We have visited every single school, every single classroom and told every single student why the Bible is important, what our favorite verses are, and some personal testimonies.
Speaking about God in schools is a foreign concept.
In the States, such a thing is not allowed in schools!
It seems like controversy arises if you so much as mention God in any context.
Many of the youth would go with us when we visited schools – their boldness and passion for the Lord was amazing and encouraging.
The City of Azua went one step further with the whole "September being the month for the Bible" thing.
There was this huge MARCH that took place!
Raul told us about it last week.
For some reason, we all seemed to think this march was no big deal.
Maybe a few church members would show up.
If not, there would be 6 white girls marching through the streets of Azua.
Well, we were wrong!
This thing was a bit bigger than we originally thought.
It was enormous.
Yesterday was actually a HOLIDAY.
NO SCHOOL. PEOPLE OFF WORK. EVERYONE IN TOWN WAS AT THE MARCH.
We loaded up in the truck around 3:30 for the March.
There were TONS of street closures.
We were in a HUGE line of cars for a long time, long enough that I thought "We're not marching, we're driving in a parade!"

About the time I thought that, Zanza tells us to get out of the truck!
We quickly obeyed and followed behind her into a swarm of Bible Believing people.
Many were waving their Bibles in the air!

This wasn't a march at all.
We weren't causally walking through the streets.
We were jogging, dancing, yelling, and screaming along with the blaring music!
We were filling the streets with JESUS!

We marched for over 40 minutes to the center of town.

When we reached the main stage, there were spirit filled prayers being cast to heaven, praise music being sung, declarations being said.

The Spirit of God was being called down into the city!
People were experiencing Him and weren't afraid to show it!

Even though I have no idea what was being said throughout the evening,
I know God was present!
His Spirit filled the air – there was a feeling of acceptance, of commonality, of power, of boldness in the air.
I'm praying and believing that the City of Azua will be different from this point on!
