On Wednesday morning, my team leader informed me and 3 of my team mates that we would be going to a village for the next day and a half.
Quite honestly, I was not excited that I had been chosen to participate on this little venture; I wanted to stay at the church and paint – I wasn't feeling well and I wanted to do what I thought the "easier" task was.
However, I exercised OBEDIENCE and did what I was told. I packed an over-night bag and within the hour, I was in Pastor Tudor's van driving to a village roughly 15 minutes away.
When we arrived in Blindesti, we were warmly welcomed by a church member named, Sylvia. She was not only hosting us for the night, but also prepared delicious meals for us.
Our afternoon was packed – a kid's club at 12pm, a Girls of God (GOG) meeting at 2pm, then another kid's club at 6pm.
The four of us quickly prepared a "game plan" for the day – Monica games, Kirby songs, and I would teach the lesson at the kid's club and we would "wing" it for the GOG meeting.
The day blew each of us away – the children warmly received us – attempting to soak up as much love and attention from us as possible!

Friday morning, we spent time with the kids – painting the house-church, playing games, eating as many cherries as we could pick, and we went on a little adventure with the kids – a walk down the road and up a hill!

This village was more primitive than where we've spent the majority of our month – which meant we had to use a pretty sketchy outhouse! At this point in the race, there's not much that shocks us – including this. The plus side of using the outhouse, were the cute puppies who were playing in the yard! One of the girls tried to persuade me to take a puppy home with me!

The kids loved picking us cherries and flowers!

Some of the snacks we enjoyed at the village: blackberries that stain your hands and peas! And of course, Sylvia's home cooking!

Despite my original feelings – the last two days were more than I could have asked for. I enjoyed the kid's clubs, the Girls of God meeting, and every other moment!
Thank you Lord, for each and every blessing, big or small!
