Coming into the Month 7, I still hadn't seen God perform a miracle of that kind.
During a session on spiritual gifts last week, a fellow racer shared his heart on the matter, as he also desired to see God move in impossible ways. He said he wanted to take part in a supernatural move of God – but he recognized that his heart wasn't in the right place. If he had taken part in such a miracle, he would have taken some of the credit for himself, rather than returning all glory to God.
I feel as though I was in a similar position. I desired to see God move in remarkable ways, but my desire was from a place of selfishness – if I experienced those things they would make amazing blogs – my thoughts were on the stories I could tell rather than how God would be glorified.
This month, however, I not only witnessed the Lord heal my team leader, Ashlee's hearing, but he also healed my team mate, Elizabeth's vision within minutes of each other! My first thought when these events took place was not in the blog I could write, or how my prayers resulted in such miracles, but instead I worshipped Jesus. Corporately, we had asked Jesus to heal Ashlee and Liz – "for where two agree here on earth concerning anything you ask, my Father in heaven will do it for you" – and Jesus did it to bring glory to his Father in heaven! We asked with pure hearts and motives and the result was a supernatural miracle.
Thank you Jesus for blessing us by answering our prayers and allowing us to glory our Father in heaven!
