Something I've often struggled with:
going through the motions of
life
… Get up … Get dressed … Go to work … Come home … Have dinner … Watch TV … Go to bed …
… REPEAT THE NEXT DAY …
I've gotten trapped in this routine of what we call life but is this truly living? Is this how life is intended to be experienced? Is this the kind of life Jesus was referring to in John 10:10 when He said: "I have come that they may have life and have it to the fullest"?
If going through the motions isn't the life Jesus is talking about, what is He referring to? And how do we find this "rich and satisfying life" He intends for us?
I truly believe the key to living life to the fullest is found only through giving your life for His cause.
"If you try to hang on to your life you will lose it. But if you give up your life for my sake, you will save it."
Matthew 16:25
It was this message that inspired my recent tattoo; the message of the CROSS leading to life.
People often depend on other devices to lead them to a specific destination, like a compass pointing North.
However, the ONLY way to reach the ultimate goal of ETERNITY with our Lord and Saviour is to walk along the path He has marked out for us.

"The Lord says 'I will guide you along the best pathway for your life. I will advise you and watch over you.'"
Psalm 32:8

"I've often pondered the direction of my life but I've turned to follow your laws." Psalm 119:59
I'm turning from my dreams, desires, plans and expectations to walk towards the dreams, desires, plans and expectations God has for me.

"The gateway to life is very narrow and the road is difficult and only a few ever find it." Matthew 7:14
I don't expect the journey to life to be easy, but it's definitely worthwhile.
