Free to be Me
So… God told me in Malawi a few months back that I was going to write about the freedom He has brought to my heart. He told me I was going to call it “Free to be me”. I have tried to start writing and every time I try to write, I have mind block! until, the other day I was praying that God would speak to me and give me the words to finally write about what He asked me to, and these are the words He gave me….
I’m free in Jesus Christ my Savior
I’m free to choose joy, laugh out loud and at myself
I’m free to be goofy even when others think I’m weird;)
I’m free to love my dog Oreo with an unconditional love
I’m free to raise my hands and praise my God
I’m free to speak in an intimate language God has given me
I’m free to speak my mind and to be honest
I’m free to cry and appreciate my ability to feel everything, my sensitive heart
I’m free to dance and sing from the top of my lungs not caring who is watching
I’m free to give and to receive love
I’m free to look in the mirror and see what God sees, beauty
I’m free to care for those who are sick and have lost hope
I’m free to guard and follow my heart
I’m free to do what I feel is right even when the world tells me different
I’m free to enjoy God’s beautiful creation and travel the world
I’m free to be fearless and stand firm in my faith
I’m free to choose and to learn from my mistakes
I’m free to have strong desires and to dream big
I’m free to pray and to talk to my God anytime
I’m free to be that quiet, shy, and gentle spirit
I’m free to share and show Christ’s love to the nations
I’m free to be a missionary and a nurse
I’m free to enjoy the gifts God has blessed me with
I’m free to live in His grace and unfailing love
I’m free to love my God because He loved me first
But most of all, I’m free because it was Christ who gave His life for me and set me free from bondage
I’m free to be me, the woman God created me to be
