Me: So this is where I’m supposed to tell you about myself! Well…most everyone who I’m close to calls me Karebear. I’m a 26 year old gal born and raised in Kansas. I’m a super down to earth, goofy girl who loves to laugh and most of all, loves the Lord! I have been a Registered Nurse for almost 3 years. I love being a nurse because I’m able to care for those who are sick and make a difference in their lives or at least I’d like to think so. I absolutely love to travel and have spent the past year doing travel nursing (where you get to see cool cities and help out hospitals that are in need of nurses usually for 3 months at a time). So far I’ve traveled to San Francisco and now I’m currently living in Baltimore. I work on the Neurology unit at John Hopkins hospital. I have the cutest dog in the WORLD who is the most loyal pup ever. His name is Oreo. He is a terrier mix I think, but I named him Oreo because he is black with some white spots. I will probably miss him the most while I’m gone on the Race! I'm a woman after God's own heart and I want to give him everything I have by letting his light shine through me.

Jeff-36, an accountant living in Kansas City, has a huge heart, goofy, and has always refereed to me as “Lynny Tooters”, my middle name is Lynn and I used to love the little toot train.
Julie-34, married to my brother in law Ben and about to have a baby girl due May 14th! We are the most alike when it comes to our free spirit lifestyle and easy going personalities.
Kristi-30, married to my other brother in law Scott, have one boy named Quinn who is the cutest nephew anyone could ask for! Kristi is very smart, organized and a true woman of God! She has encouraged me so much through my spiritual walk and has been such a wonderful accountability partner!
Laura-23, (I can’t believe she is this old, I feel like I was just 23!) Just graduated from college and is currently job hunting, She has a dog (Oreo’s Brother) named Rocky and he is pretty darn cute too. She will probably be getting married to her boyfriend Zach while I’m gone on the Race, which makes me very happy but sad at the same time! Everyone says that we look the most alike out of all the sisters.
Mom-where to start….MY mom has been the backbone of my family, she is the most generous sweetest woman you could ever meet. She has always put everyone before herself no matter what circumstance. It is because of my mom that I know about Jesus and have the strong values I hold true to my heart today.
Dad-Let’s just say I get my very goofy and nerdy tendencies from my Dad. He’s probably the reason I love garage sales since he dragged me to them every weekend when I was younger. Everyone says I look more like my Dad than my mom, so I have him to thank for my looks

13. I'm pretty much legally blind and cant see anything without my contacts/glasses
