God told me at the beginning of this month that we would be the hope to the community of Rio Colorado. As I sit here with about a day and a half left in Rio Colorado I am in awe of just how much God has used us to bring hope
Yes, I have not been the best version of myself every day.
Yes, my team has had rough days and there have been moments where I feel like we are falling apart.
Yes, we had more days where we functioned as only part of a team instead of a whole team because people had to stay back because of illness
Yes we ran into spiritual warfare almost daily.
Romans 12:12: Rejoice in hope, be patient in tribulation, be constant in prayer.
But God is so good and like it says in his word he worked all things together for good! And boy did he work! We watched Him use us to bring 5 people to the kingdom. We watched Him open doors for us to teach about him in schools. We watched His love pour out of each other onto complete strangers. We watched Him turn those strangers into family, people who it is going to break my heart to have to say goodbye to.
Colossians 1:27: To them God chose to make known how great among the gentiles are the riches of glory of this mystery, which is Christ in you, the hope of glory.
God allowed us to bring hope, His hope, the best kind of hope to the mountains of Honduras. It has been a challenging month, a month of growth. But most of all a month of hope.
