July was such an incredible month for fundraising for me. I set a goal of $1,500 for the month. In order to help hit this goal, I set up a campaign on Facebook asking 40 people to donate $40. I also had some friends collect their spare change for me for the month. Finally, my big fundraiser was my italian dinner.
July also poised a month of tough questions. Some from outside sources, from people inquiring about why I felt the need to leave the US to help. But mainly, I was questioning a lot.
Am I really suppose to leave everything for a year and go?
How is God going to use me to share His good news and love across the world when I have a hard time doing it here at home?
Is this really what I am suppose to be doing?
How am I going to pack everything I need for a year in a pack and a backpack!?!?!
But God is good. He but my mind at ease. And if there was any doubt that I was really suppose to go on this World Race, God demolished them in the fom of the outpouring of support from my friends and family. Whenever I was doubting God put someone in my path who would encourage me in what I was planning to do. And God also provided financially. I want to thank all of you who listened to and obeyed God's call to help me go on this trip. I cannot say it enough times, I may be the one traveling on this trip but all of you are a part of this trip.
And now for the moment you have been waiting for: The grand total raised for the month of July was
**$200 of that is going towards tshirt orders and $70 is going toward printing supplies for my support letters and brochures.
So the total amount going straight into my World Race account is $2081. With the $358 I already have in there my account total will be $2439!! That leaves me only $1061 to reach my first goal!
