I am really excited to share with you all about one of the projects I have been working on since I returned to Georgia. I have the privilege of working with the Kingdom Journeys department here at Adventures.
Kingdom Journeys is a trip similar to the World Race. However, these trips are only open to Race alumni as these trips focus on helping people walk into their calling. We have already launched a men’s team 1 and women’s team 1. In January of 2015 we are launching our women’s team 2. We hope to launch or 2nd men’s group in mid-2015.
What makes these trips unique is that they allow the participants to focus on one area. Both of our women’s teams have focused on Women’s Ministry. The Women’s Ministry we use is called Beauty for Ashes.
Beauty for Ashes is both a program and an event. We offer 3-day Beauty for Ashes retreats that allow the women to get away from their everyday life, be pampered, and also experience inner healing. It is a place where women can share the parts of their stories that they see as shameful and that they have kept secret. In sharing those secrets, and through the amazing love of our Lord, these women find healing.

Since coming on board with Kingdom Journeys in September, my job has mainly revolved around all things Beauty for Ashes. One of the biggest goals for us is to expand the awareness of Beauty for Ashes. We want to get the word out about what this program is all about. One way we are doing that is through our first ever Vision Trip to Guatemala.
One of the main parts of my apprenticeship has been planning this trip. We want to get women who have a heart for other women involved. We want YOU involved.
